30 OFFICERS COMPLETED THE 7TH RBAF COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE

TANAH JAMBU, Thursday 12 October 2017 – A total of 30 officers completed the 7th Royal Brunei Armed Forces Command and Staff Course (RBAF CSC 7) today at the Defence Academy of the RBAF.

The RBAF CSC 7 was a 40-weeks course delivered in partnership with New Zealand’s Massey University. Amongst its aims were to broaden the professional and academic knowledge, develop command, analytical, communication skills of mid-level officers and prepare them for higher appointments.

Present as Guest of Honour was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Captain (Retired) Dato Paduka Abd Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, RBN.

Various awards were also presented by the Permanent Secretary and Professor Paul Spoonley, the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Massey University, New Zealand.

The RBAF CSC Commendation award went to Lieutenant Colonel Ng Yen Meng of the Republic of Singapore Navy; The RBAF CSC Overall Excellence Award went to Major Justin A. Hooker of the United States Marine Corps; and The Massey University’s Academic Excellence Award went to Major Keiran Vidal of the Australian Army.

Also present were the Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam, Services Commanders, High Commissioners, Ambassadors, Representatives from Foreign Missions in Brunei Darussalam, Defence Advisers and Defence Attaches in Brunei Darussalam, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Director of the Internal Security Department, Commandants, Directors, senior RBAF officers and family members of the graduates.

The course participants this year comprised of officers from the RBAF, RBPF, a participant from the Prime Minister’s Office and 13 international participants from Australia Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and the United States.






30 PEGAWAI TAMAT KURSUS MAKTAB TURUS KE-7

TANAH JAMBU, Khamis 12 Oktober 2017 – Seramai 30 pegawai telah menamatkan Kursus Maktab Turus Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) Sesi 07/2017 pada hari ini di Akademi Pertahanan ABDB.

Kursus tersebut berlangsung selama 40 minggu dan dikendalikan bersama Universiti Massey, New Zealand. Ia antaranya bertujuan untuk meluaskan lagi pengetahuan profesional dan akademik dan meningkatkan kemahiran arahan, analitikal, komunikasi pegawai-pegawai peringkat pertengahan bagi mempersiapkan mereka untuk lantikan yang lebih tinggi.

Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Setiausaha Tetap di Kementerian Pertahanan, Kepten (B) Dato Paduka Abd Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, TLDB.

Beberapa anugerah-anugerah turut disampaikan oleh Setiausaha Tetap bersama Profesor Paul Spoonley, Pro Naib-Canselor of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Massey University, New Zealand.

Anugerah ‘RBAF CSC Commendation’ diraih oleh Leftenan Kolonel Ng Yen Meng dari Angkatan Laut Republik Singapura; anugerah ‘RBAF CSC Overall Excellence diraih oleh Mejar Justin A. Hooker dari United States Marine Corps; dan anugerah ‘Massey University’s Academic Excellence’ diraih oleh Mejar Keiran Vidal dari Australian Army.

Turut hadir ialah Pesuruhjaya Polis Diraja Brunei (PDB), Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam, Pemerintah-pemerintah Angkatan Tentera, Pesuruhjaya-pesuruhjaya Tinggi, Duta-duta Luar Negeri, Perwakilan dari Kedutaan Luar Negeri di Negara Brunei Darussalam, Penasihat-penasihat dan Atase-atase Pertahanan di Negara Brunei Darussalam, Timbalan-timbalan Setiausaha Tetap, Timbalan Pengarah Jabatan Keselamatan Dalam Negeri, Komandan-komandan, Pengarah-pengarah, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan dan ahli keluarga peserta-peserta kursus.

Kursus tahun ini disertai oleh pegawai-pegawai dari ABDB, PDB, peserta dari Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan 13 peserta antarabangsa dari Australia, Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Filipina, Singapura, Thailand dan Amerika Syarikat.
