DEPUTY MINISTER OF DEFENCE RECEIVES COURTESY CALL FROM THE ADVISOR TO PRIME MINISTER OF JAPAN ON NATIONAL SECURITY

BOLKIAH GARRISON, Thursday, 7 December 2017 – The Deputy Minister of Defence, First Admiral (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit today received a courtesy call from His Excellency Kentaro Sonoura, the Advisor to Prime Minister of Japan on National Security.

During the call, the Deputy Minister of Defence congratulated His Excellency on his election to the House of Representatives and expressed satisfaction upon the warm and friendly defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and Japan. The Deputy Minister of Defence and His Excellency Sonoura looked forward to continued progress in the bilateral relations, especially in the area of defence.

Defence relations between the two countries has steadily grown from the increasing exchanges of visits, which also includes high-level officials such as defence ministers, parliamentary officials, vice-ministers and Chiefs of Defence Force.

TIMBALAN MENTERI PERTAHANAN TERIMA KUNJUNGAN HORMAT DARIPADA ADVISOR TO PRIME MINISTER OF JAPAN ON NATIONAL SECURITY

BOLKIAH GARISON, Khamis, 7 December 2017 – Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan, Laksamana Pertama (B) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit pada hari ini menerima kunjungan hormat daripada Tuan Yang Terutama Kentaro Sonoura, Advisor to Prime Minister of Japan on National Security.

Semasa kunjungan tersebut, Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan mengucapkan tahniah kepada Tuan Yang Terutama di atas perlantikan menjadi ahli parliamen Jepun. Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan menyatakan rasa puas hati atas hubungan pertahanan yang baik dan mesra di antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Jepun. Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan dan Tuan Yang Terutama Sonoura berharap untuk mencapai kemajuan yang berterusan dalam hubungan dua hala, terutama sekali dalam bidang pertahanan.

Hubungan pertahanan kedua buah negara semakin berkembang melalui beberapa pertukaran lawatan termasuk kunjungan di kalangan pegawai-pegawai peringkat tinggi seperti menteri-menteri pertahanan, ahli-ahli parlimen, setiausaha tetap dan juga pemerintah angkatan tentera.
