RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Wednesday, 31 May 2023 –
The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 62nd Anniversary Appreciation Dinner was held at the Sports Complex, Rimba Air Force Base (Rimba AFB). The appreciation dinner commenced with a reception of invited guests comprised of sponsors of the RBAF Anniversary, Defence Attaches/Defence Advisers of respective countries and representatives of the friendly air forces involved in the air capability static display and the Defence Industries participants involved in the exhibition during the RBAF 62nd Anniversary.
The speech that night was conveyed by the Guest of Honour, Colonel (U) Hishamuddin bin Abidin, Acting Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), who was also the Chairman for the RBAF 62nd Anniversary where he acknowledged the attendance of those who participated in showcasing their assets. He mentioned that this collaboration has enhanced the friendship and the defence diplomacy ties between Brunei Darussalam and the participating countries. He also thanked all the sponsors who gave their unwavering support during the celebration and expressed his gratitude to the Defence Industries involved, for their participation and dedication in support of the RBAF 62nd Anniversary. He also hoped that their cooperation will not be limited to the RBAF but extended to other agencies in line with the concept of interagency and interoperability.
During the dinner, there was also a certificate presentation ceremony presented by the Guest of Honour in appreciation to all participants who were involved in the 62nd RBAF Anniversary. The night was also enlivened with the presence of the RBAF Band. The dinner signifies the importance of recognising and appreciating the exceptional efforts of the committees, which form the backbone of the efficacious event. Their dedication and collaborative spirit, cooperation and support has led to a positive impact and propel towards successful event of the 62nd RBAF Anniversary.
MALAM PENGHARGAAN HARI ULANG TAHUN ABDB YANG KE-62
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Rabu, 31 Mei 2023 - Malam Penghargaan Hari Ulang Tahun Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) telah diadakan di Dewan Gerak Badan, Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba (PTU Rimba). Malam Penghargaan tersebut dimulakan dengan sambutan bersama tetamu jemputan yang terdiri daripada Penaja-Penaja, Atase-atase Pertahanan, dan tentera-tentera udara negara sahabat yang terlibat di dalam pameran statik serta peserta-peserta dari Industri Pertahanan yang ikut serta di dalam pameran semasa HUT ABDB ke-62 Tahun.
Kolonel (U) Hishamuddin bin Abidin, Pemangku Timbalan Pemerintah TUDB, yang juga Pengerusi Sambutan HUT ABDB yang ke-62 tahun telah menyampaikan ucapan selaku Tetamu Kehormat Majlis, dimana beliau telah merakamkan penghargaan kepada mereka yang telah turut serta dalam memberi sokongan dalam mempamerkan aset semasa sambutan tersebut. Beliau menegaskan dalam ucapannya juga bahawa dengan kerjasama ini setentunya telah mengeratkan persahabatan dan hubungan diplomasi pertahanan diantara Brunei Darussalam dengan negara-negara yang terlibat dalam acara tersebut. Beliau juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada semua penaja yang memberikan sokongan tidak berbelah bahagi semasa sambutan tersebut dan merakamkan penghargaan kepada peserta-peserta Industri Pertahanan, atas penyertaan dan dedikasi mereka dalam menyokong acara HUT ABDB ke-62 pada pagi itu. Tetamu Kehormat juga berharap dengan kerjasama sedemikian akan dapat diteruskan bukan sahaja bagi pihak ABDB tetapi juga bagi agensi-agensi lain di dalam membina atas konsep antara agensi dan kebolehoperasian.
Pada majlis makan malam itu, penyampaian sijil turut disampaikan oleh Tetamu Kehormat sebagai tanda penghargaan atas penyertaan kepada semua yang terlibat di dalam sambutan HUT ABDB ke-62. Malam itu turut dimeriahkan lagi dengan kehadiran Pancaragam ABDB. Malam Penghargaan ini juga adalah untuk menghargai usaha para AJK-AJK didalam menjayakan sambutan HUT ABDB ke-62 Tahun yang mana dedikasi dan semangat kerjasama serta sumbangan yang diberikan telah memberikan impak yang positif dan mendorong kepada kejayaan sambutan HUT ABDB ke-62 Tahun.
