CLOSING CEREMONY FOR RBAirF FIRST DRONE TECHNICIAN MAINTENANCE COURSE 01/2024

BERAKAS GARRISON, Monday, 30 September 2024 – The closing ceremony for the First Drone Technician Maintenance Course for 255 Squadron, No. 2 Wing was conducted by 75 Squadron, No. 7 Wing of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) at 255 Squadron, No. 2 Wing, Operations Group, RBAirF.

Four participants from 255 Squadron underwent the four week course, from 30 August to 27 September 2024 specifically designed to enhance the participants' expertise in drone maintenance, covering both theoretical and practical aspects, with a focus on managing and repairing systems related to drones and drone jammers.

The Guest of Honour for the event was Major (U) Mohammad Nashriq Bin Moksin, Squadron Commander of 75 Squadron officially concluded the course by highlighting the importance of applying the knowledge and skills gained during the course to maintain the operational readiness of their squadron.

With the increased use of drone technology and the integration of more advanced sensors—such as thermal sensors for detection and Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) sensors for 3D mapping—it is essential for the course to be continuously updated to ensure drone technicians remain current with the operational requirements of modern and future drone systems.


MAJLIS PENUTUP BAGI KURSUS PERTAMA DRONE TECHNICIAN MAINTENANCE SIRI 01/2024, TENTERA UDARA DIRAJA BRUNEI

BERAKAS GARISON, Isnin, 30 September 2024 – Majlis penutup bagi Kursus Pertama Drone Technician Maintenance untuk anggota Skuadron 255, Cawangan No. 2 dikendalikan oleh Skuadron 75, Cawangan No. 7, Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) di Skuadron 255, Cawangan No. 2 Wing, Kumpulan Gerakan, TUDB.

Empat peserta kursus daripada Skuadron 255 menjalani kursus selama empat minggu dari 30 Ogos hingga 27 September 2024 untuk meningkatkan kepakaran peserta dalam penyelenggaraan dron, merangkumi kedua-dua aspek teori dan praktikal dan memberikan tumpuan kepada pengurusan dan pembaikan pulih sistem yang berkaitan dengan dron dan jammer dron.

Tetamu Kehormat bagi majlis tersebut ialah Mejar (U) Mohammad Nashriq Bin Moksin, Pegawai Memerintah Skuadron 75 dengan rasminya menutup kursus tersebut dengan menekankan betapa pentingnya pengetahuan dan kemahiran yang dipelajari daripada kursus diterapkan untuk mengekalkan kesediaan tahap operasi.

Dengan penggunaan dron dan sensor yang lebih canggih semakin meluas - seperti sensor thermal untuk pengesanan serta Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) bagi pencetakan peta 3D – ia adalah penting bagi kursus ini untuk terus dilaksanakan dan diperluas untuk memastikan jurutera dron sentiasa bersedia dalam keperluan operasi yang moden dan system dron masa hadapan.
