BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 3 January 2025 – A Doa Kesyukuran ceremony was held this morning at Surau Ad-Difa’, Bolkiah Garrison, to welcome the return of 29 personnel from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) who participated in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) peacekeeping mission with the Malaysian Battalion (MALBATT) 850-11. The contingent, led by Major Hafizi bin Sabli, comprised 3 officers and 26 other ranks personnel, including 2 female soldiers, who successfully completed a 13-month deployment and returned safely to Brunei Darussalam on 14 December 2024.

The previous implementation of the English Proficiency Test as part of the entry requirements has been terminated. As a result, English Language qualification will now be a main criteria for entry.

SUBANG AIR BASE, MALAYSIA, Monday, 18 November 2024 – The final flight of the MALBATT 850-12 contingent for the peacekeeping mission of The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), comprising of 208 members of the MALBATT 850-12 including 14 members from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) safely departed today from Subang Airbase, Malaysia using the Batik Air Airbus A330-300.

MARAKAH CAMP, LEBANON, Saturday, 16 November 2024 – The Transfer of Authority (TOA) ceremony between the Malaysian Battalion (MALBATT) 850-11 and MALBATT 850-12 contingents for the peacekeeping mission of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was held at the UNP 2-1 Parade Square, Marakah Camp, South Lebanon.

SUBANG AIRBASE, MALAYSIA, Saturday, 16 November 2024 - The third returning flight of the Malaysian Battalion Contingent (MALBATT) 850-11 for the peacekeeping mission of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) comprising of 216 members of the MALBATT 850-11 including nine members of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) has safely arrived at Subang Airbase, Malaysia this afternoon.
