FULLERTON HOTEL, SINGAPORE, 01 September 2018 - Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Hj Hamzah bin Hj Sahat, Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) attended the 15th ASEAN Air Chief Conference (AACC) hosted by The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) at the Fullerton Hotel, Marina Bay, Singapore with the theme "Strengthening Friendships and Enhancing Regional Security".
In his opening address, the Chief of RSAF, Major General Mervyn Tan Wei Ming highlighted three main points for this year AACC which were; Enhancing Mutual Support for HADR, Strengthening Cooperation in Counter Terrorism and Developing Confidence Building Measures to Enhance Aviation Safety.
While at the end of the ceremony, the Commander of the RBAirF officially took over the role as the chairman of the 16th AACC which will be hosted by the RBAirF in Brunei Darussalam in 2019. In his acceptance speech, he highlighted that the RBAirF will be committed to build upon the excellent work accomplished so far and the high standards set by RSAF.
On the sidelines of the conference, Commander of RBAirF also had bilateral calls between Air Chiefs from various ASEAN countries. Commander of RBAirF also attended RSAF's 50th Anniversary parade at Tengah Air Base.

FULLERTON HOTEL, SINGAPURA, 01 September 2018 - Brigadier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Hj Hamzah bin Hj Sahat,Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) menghadiri Persidangan ASEAN Air Chief Conference (AACC) yang ke 15 yang dikendalikan oleh Tentera Udara Republik Singapura (TURS) di Fullerton Hotel, Marina Bay, Singapura dengan bertemakan "Strengthening Friendships and Enhancing Regional Security".
Dalam ucapan pembukaannya,Panglima TURS, Mejar Jeneral Mervyn Tan Wei Ming menegaskan tiga perkara utama bagi AACC tahun ini iaitu; Meningkatkan Sokongan Bersama untuk HADR, Memperkuatkan Kerjasama dalam Counter Terrorismdan mempertingkatkan kepercayaan dan keselamatan penerbangan.
Manakala pada penghujung acara, Pemerintah TUDB secara rasminya mengambil alih jawatan sebagai pengerusi AACC ke-16 yang akan dikendalikan oleh TUDB di Brunei Darussalam pada tahun 2019. Dalam ucapan penerimaannya, beliau menegaskan bahawa TUDB akan komited dalam menunjukkan kerja yang lebih baik setanding dengan apa yang telah dicapai oleh TURS.
Disamping persidangan itu, Pemerintah TUDB telah mengadakan kunjungan dua hala denganketua-ketua Tentera Udara ASEAN yang lain. Pemerintah TUDB juga menghadiri Perbarisan Ulang Tahun TURS yang ke-50 di Pangkalan Udara Tengah.
