Rimba Air Base, Wednesday, 27 January 2021 - Fire Service Flight of No. 3 Wing, has successfully conducted its first Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Exercise for three consecutive days from 26 - 28 January 2021. Present to witness the exercise was Lt Col (U) Haji Mohd Rahimin bin Haji Ismail, the Commanding Officer of No. 3 Wing.
The objective of this exercise is to assess the execution of TUDB Fire Service Flight in the event of a Helicopter Crash. In order to identify gaps and to test the squadron reaction time on helicopter firefighting and ultimately produce a new set of Standard of Operating Procedure (SOP).
The exercise started with an activation call to Fire Service Flight to dispatch Section On Duty to the incident site and resolved the situation. The exercise ended when all the casualties had been evacuated from the helicopter and transferred to the Medical Reception Services for treatment.

AVIATION RESCUE FIRE FIGHTING (ARFF)
Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba, Rabu, 27 Januari 2021 - Fire Service Flight, Cawangan No. 3 buat pertama kali berjaya menjalankan Eksesais
Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting selama 3 hari bermula pada 26 - 28 Januari 2021. Hadir menyaksikan eksesais tersebut adalah 607 Lt Kol (U) Haji Mohd Rahimin bin Haji Ismail, Pegawai Pemerintah Cawangan No. 3.
Tujuan eksesais ini dilaksanakan adalah untuk menilai perlaksanaan bagi Fire Service Flight dalam kejadian pesawat helikopter terhempas. Dengan itu, mengenalpasti jurang dan menguji tindak balas skuadron dalam mengendalikan kebakaran helikopter bagi menghasilkan Prosedur Tetap yang baharu.
Latihan eksesais dimulakan dengan mengaktifkan panggilan kecemasan kepada Fire Service Flight untuk membuat pergerakan ke tempat kejadian dan mengendalikan situasi tersebut. Latihan eksesais berakhir apabila mangsa berjaya dipindahkan dari helikopter dan kemudian diserahkan kepada Pusat Khidmat Perubatan dan Kesihatan untuk menerima rawatan.
