​ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY RECEIVES GOODWILL VISIT BY THREE JMSDF SHIPS

MUARA, Monday, 12 February 2018 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) welcomed three Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force ships (JMSDF) namely JS SAWAGIRI, JS YAMAGIRI and JS YAMAYUKI at the Muara Commercial Wharf on Sunday.

The head of delegation, Captain Isamu Kaji, Commander, Escort Division 11 and his 550 crew, consisting of 161 officers and 389 enlisted personnel were greeted by Commander Azrin bin Haji Mahmud, RBN, Commanding Officer of KDB DARULAMAN and other RBN officers and personnel. The JMSDF ships will be in Brunei Darussalam for a four day goodwill visit until 14 February 2018.

During the visit, Captain Isamu Kaji called on First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, Commander of RBN this morning and is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call to Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the RBAF, tomorrow.

A reception onboard the JS YAMAGIRI ship is to be held this evening and will be attended by the Commander of RBN as the Guest of Honour, as well as Service Commanders, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, senior officers and officers of the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).

While in the country, the JMSDF ships will conduct a Passage Exercise with KDB DARUSSALAM. As part of their visit programme, the ships will have an ‘open day’ to the public, and the crews will conduct a beach cleaning campaign at the Meragang Beach as well as a visit to Brunei Darussalam’s cultural sites. The JMSDF ships next port call will be in Bangkok Port, Thailand.

The last JMSDF ship visit to Brunei Darussalam was by JS KIRISAME in May 2017.



TENTERA LAUT DIRAJA BRUNEI MENERIMA LAWATAN MUHIBBAH DARIPADA 3 BUAH KAPAL JMSDF

MUARA, Isnin, 12 Februari 2018 - Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB) menerima lawatan kapal dari Japan Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) iaitu JS SAWAGIRI, JS YAMAGIRI dan JS YAMAYUKI di Pelabuhan Komersial Muara pada hari Ahad.

Ketua delegasi kapal JMSDF tersebut, Kapten Isamu Kaji, Pemerintah, Escort Division 11 bersama krewnya seramai 550 orang yang terdiri daripada 161 pegawai dan 389 lain-lain peringkat telah disambut oleh Komander Azrin bin Haji Mahmud, TLDB, Pegawai Pemerintah KDB DARULAMAN serta pegawai-pegawai dan anggota lain-lain peringkat TLDB. Kapal-kapal JMSDF tersebut akan berada di Negara Brunei Darussalam selama empat hari sehingga 14 Februari 2018.

Semasa lawatan muhibbah ini, Kapten Isamu Kaji, Pegawai Pemerintah, Escort Division 11 akan membuat kunjungan hormat kepada Laksamana Pertama Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, Pemerintah TLDB, dan juga dijadualkan untuk membuat kunjungan hormat kepada Mejar Jeneral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) pada hari Selasa.

Satu Majlis Resepsi di atas kapal JS YAMAGIRI juga diadakan pada malam ini dan akan dihadiri oleh Pemerintah TLDB selaku Tetamu Kehormat dan juga Pemerintah-pemerintah Angkatan Tentera, Timbalan-Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap, pegawai-pegawai kanan dan pegawai Kementerian Pertahanan dan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB).

Semasa berada d negara ini, kapal-kapal JMSDF berkenaan akan mengadakan Latihan Passage dengan KDB DARUSSALAM. Antara jadual lawatan kapal Tentera Laut Jepun JMSDF ini termasuk ‘Hari Terbuka’ untuk orang ramai, kempen membersihkan pantai di Pantai Meragang dan lawatan ke tempat-tempat kebudayaan di Brunei Darussalam. Ketiga-tiga buah kapal dari JMSDF akan belayar ke Pelabuhan Bangkok, Thailand seterusnya.

Kapal Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) yang terakhir mengadakan kunjungan muhibbah ke Negara Brunei Darussalam adalah kapal JS KIRISAME pada bulan Mei tahun lepas.
