COMMANDER OPERATIONS GROUP RECEIVES COURTESY CALL FROM COMMANDER DIVISIONAL AIR DEFENCE GROUP

RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Wednesday, 11 September 2024 – Lieutenant Colonel (U) Mohammad Hairy Erwandy bin Haji Raya, Commander of the Operations Group, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), received a Courtesy Call from COL Lau Kai Heng Anthony, Commander of the Divisional Air Defence Group (DAG) of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). Accompanying COL Lau was LTC Sim Song Kai, the Assistant Defence Adviser of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam.

COL Lau and his delegation are currently participating in the 28th AIRGUARD Field Training Exercise, which is being conducted from 08 to 13 September 2024. During the meeting, both parties discussed the importance of further strengthening the longstanding cooperation between the two air forces. They explored opportunities for future joint exercises, expanded training programs, and enhanced knowledge-sharing initiatives.

The discussion also highlighted the upcoming 30th AIRGUARD exercise, with plans to place greater emphasis on Helicopter Air Projection Missions, Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) scenarios, and a Table-Top Exercise focused on UAS operations.

PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Rabu, 11 September 2024 – Leftenan Kolonel (U) Mohammad Hairy Erwandy bin Haji Raya, Pemerintah Kumpulan Gerakan, Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB), telah menerima Kunjungan Hormat daripada COL Lau Kai Heng Anthony, Komander Kumpulan Pertahanan Udara (DAG) Tentera Udara Republik Singapura (TURS). Mengiringi COL Lau ialah LTC Sim Song Kai, Penolong Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Singapura ke Negara Brunei Darussalam.

COL Lau dan delegasinya terlibat dengan Latihan Medan AIRGUARD ke-28, yang sedang berlangsung dari 08 hingga 13 September 2024. Semasa kunjungan tersebut, kedua-dua pihak membincangkan kepentingan untuk memperkukuhkan lagi kerjasama jangka panjang antara kedua-dua angkatan udara. Mereka juga meneroka peluang untuk latihan bersama di masa hadapan, program latihan yang lebih luas, serta inisiatif perkongsian pengetahuan yang lebih baik.

Perbincangan turut menekankan tentang Latihan AIRGUARD ke-30 yang akan datang, dengan rancangan untuk memberikan tumpuan yang lebih kepada Helicopter Air Projection Missions, senario Sistem Udara Tanpa Pemandu (UAS), serta Latihan Table-Top yang berfokuskan kepada operasi UAS.
