COMMANDER OF THE ROYAL BRUNEI AIRFORCE MAKES A FAREWELL VISIT TO THE ROYAL MALAYSIAN AIRFORCE
MALAYSIA, Wed, Aug 5 2015 – The Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force, Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Wardi bin Haji Abdul Latip and delegation had made a three-day Farewell Visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 4th to 6th August 2015.
  
During his Farewell Visit at the Royal Malaysian Air Force Headquarters, the Commander of RBAirF received the General Salute and inspected the Guard of Honour performed by the personnel of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF).

Later that morning, the Commander of RBAirF had made a courtesy call to the Chief of Defence Force of the Malaysian Armed Forces, Yang Berbahagia General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Hj Zulkifeli bin Mohd Zin at the Malaysian Ministry of Defence Headquarters. The programme continued with the Commander of RBAirF’s courtesy call to the Chief of the Royal Malaysian Air Force, General Dato’ Sri Haji Roslan Bin Saad at the Malaysian Ministry of Defence in Kuala Lumpur.

Later after the visit, the Commander of RBAirF was given the opportunity to conduct a familiarization flight flying a C-130 at No 20 Squadron, Subang Air Base as part of the farewell visit programme. The captain of the flight was Lt Col Mohd Jaffri bin Suboh, the Commanding Officer of No 20 squadron, RMAF.
Subsequently in the evening, Commander of RBAirF and spouse attended a formal dinner hosted by General Dato’ Sri Haji Roslan Bin Saad, the Chief of RMAF at the Royal Chulan Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The purpose of this visit was to underscore the close and long-standing defense relationship between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia.

The RBAirF and the RMAF interact regularly through annual bilateral exercises and courses. These interactions not only enhance the professionalism of the two air forces, but also strengthen mutual understanding and personal friendships. Commander of the RBAirf, Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Wardi was given the honour to receive the RMAF Honorary Pilot Wings in September 2013, to signify his contribution and commitment in further enhancing the already strong and long-standing defence relationship between Malaysia and Brunei on the air force level.
