RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Tuesday, 20 August 2024 – The Foundation Laying Ceremony for Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Squadron, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) Building was held at the project site in Rimba Air Force Base (AFB).
Present at the ceremony was Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Commander of the RBAirF. Also in attendance were Yang Mulia Poh Kui Choon, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Sr. Hajah Wan Farhani binti Haji Suhaili, Acting Director of Development and Work Services, Ministry of Defence, RBAirF Senior Officers as well as officers and staff from the Directorate of Development and Work Services.
The ceremony began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and was followed by a briefing on the background of the project. The Commander of RBAirF then officiated the foundation laying ceremony which was then preceded by the Azan. The event concluded with a group photo and the recitation of Doa Selamat.
The UAS Squadron building is set to have a total floor area of 2270m2 containing offices and simulator rooms for the squadron. The groundwork for the building site commenced
on 23 July 2024 under Abdul Latif Company Sdn Bhd. The project is expected to be completed in March 2025.
MAJLIS PERLETAKAN BATU ASAS BANGUNAN SKUADRON SISTEM PESAWAT TANPA PEMANDU TENTERA UDARA DIRAJA BRUNEI
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Selasa, 20 Ogos 2024 – Majlis Perletakan Batu Asas Bangunan Skuadron Sistem Pesawat Tanpa Pemandu (UAS), Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah diadakan pada hari ini di tapak projek Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba (PTU Rimba).
Hadir pada majlis tersebut ialah Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Pemerintah TUDB. Turut hadir adalah Yang Mulia Poh Kui Choon Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan, Sr. Hajah Wan Farhani binti Haji Suhaili, Pemangku Pengarah Pembangunan dan Perkhidmatan Kerja, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan TUDB serta Pegawai-pegawai dan Kakitangan Jabatanarah Pembangunan dan Perkhidmatan Kerja.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah diikuti dengan taklimat mengenai latar belakang projek. Pemerintah TUDB kemudian merasmikan perletakan batu asas yang diiringi dengan laungan azan. Majlis diakhiri dengan acara bergambar ramai dan bacaan Doa Selamat.
Bangunan Skuadron UAS TUDB akan mempunyai keluasan lantai sebanyak 2270m2, mengandungi pejabat-pejabat dan bilik-bilik simulator bagi kegunaan skuadron. Pembinaan projek bagi bangunan ini telah dimulakan pada 23 Julai 2024 yang dikelola oleh Syarikat Abdul Latif Sdn Bhd. Projek pembinaan dijangka akan selesai pada bulan Mac 2025.
