CLOSING CEREMONY FOR THE ALL ARMS AIR DEFENCE COURSE 2022 AND THE CLASS 3 DRIVING ‘IVECO CONVERSION’ COURSE SERIAL 1/2022

RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Tuesday, 16 August 2022 - The closing ceremony for the All Arms Air Defence Course 2022 and the Class 3 Driving 'IVECO Conversion' Course Serial 1/2022 was held today at the Punai Hall, Rimba Air Force Base (Rimba AFB). A total of 06 personnel attended the All Arms Air Defence Session 2022 Course which was held for 04 weeks and 20 personnel attended the Class 3 Driving 'IVECO Conversion' Serial 1/2022 Course which was conducted for 2 weeks. Course participants for both courses consists of personnel from No.2 Wing and No.3 Wing of Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF). Present as the Guest of Honour was Major (U) Mohammad Alli Farid bin Ibrahim, Officer Commanding, 77 Squadron, No. 7 Wing, RBAirF.

The event started with the recital of the Surah Al-Fatihah read by a course representative followed by the official course closing speech. This was followed by the presentation of certificates and best students for both courses. The best student for the All Arms Air Defence Session 2022 course was Corporal (U) Mohammad Safwan bin Haji Mohimin while for the Class 3 Driving 'IVECO Conversion' Serial 1/2022 was received by Private (U) Mohammad Firdaus bin Haji Mohammad Dillah.

The All Arms Air Defence Session 2022 Course was aimed at training the personnel with regards to the handling and operation of air defence weapons including General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), Heavy Barrel Automatic Rifle (HBAR) and also Ultimax-100. Additionally, the participants were also exposed to the operational aspect of All Arms Air Defence as well as range management. A live firing session was also conducted as part of the course. The Class 3 Driving 'IVECO Conversion' Course Serial 1/2022 on the other hand focused on the daily tasking and operational usage of vehicles. The final exercise was held at Lubok Pulau, Tutong.




MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS BAGI KURSUS SEMUA SENJATA PERTAHANAN UDARA SESI 2022 DAN KURSUS MEMANDU KELAS 3 'IVECO CONVERSION' SIRI 1/2022

PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Selasa, 16 Ogos 2022 – Upacara Penutup Kursus bagi Kursus Semua Senjata Pertahanan Udara Sesi 2022 dan Kursus Memandu Kelas 3 'IVECO Conversion' Siri 1/2022 telah dikendalikan pada hari ini bertempat di Dewan Punai, Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba (PTU Rimba). Seramai 06 anggota dari Cawangan No. 2, Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah menghadiri Kursus Semua Senjata Pertahanan Udara Sesi 2022 selama 04 minggu dan 20 anggota telah menghadiri Kursus Memandu Kelas 3 'IVECO Conversion' Siri 1/2022 selama 02 minggu. Peserta kursus adalah terdiri daripada anggota dari Cawangan No. 2 dan Cawangan No. 3, Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB). Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat Majlis ialah Mejar (U) Mohammad Alli Farid bin Ibrahim, Pegawai Memerintah Skuadron 77, Cawangan No. 7, TUDB.

Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah yang dibaca oleh wakil peserta kursus dan diteruskan dengan ucapan rasmi penutup kursus. Seterusnya acara diteruskan dengan penyampaian sijil-sijil bagi peserta-peserta kursus dan juga penyampaian hadiah bagi penuntuk terbaik keseluruhan bagi setiap kursus. Penuntut terbaik bagi Kursus Semua Senjata Pertahanan Udara Sesi 2022 ialah Koperal (U) Mohammad Safwan bin Hj Mohimin manakalah bagi Kursus Memandu Kelas 3 'IVECO Conversion' ialah Soldadu (U) Mohammad Firdaus bin Haji Mohammad Dillah.

Kursus Semua Senjata Pertahanan Udara Sesi 2022 bertujuan untuk melatih anggota-anggota dalam operasi senjata-senjata pertahanan udara termasuk General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), Heavy Barrel Automatic Rifle (HBAR) dan juga Ultimax-100. Selain itu, peserta-peserta juga diterangkan mengenai operasi Semua Senjata Pertahanan Udara dan Pengendalian Padang Tembak Pertahanan Udara. Satu sesi penembakan peluru hidup juga dikendalikan semasa kursus tersebut dijalankan. Bagi Kursus Memandu Kelas 3 'IVECO Conversion' tertumpu kepada tatacara pengendalian dan memandu kenderaan IVECO dari segi tugasan harian dan juga operasi. Latihan akhir tersebut melibatkan latihan di Kampung Lubok Pulau, Tutong.
