| RBAIRF COMMANDER RECEIVES PINGAT JASA GEMILANG FROM REPUBLIC SINGAPORE AIR FORCE |  | REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Thursday 8 May 2014
- The Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force, Brigadier General
(U) Haji Wardi Bin Haji Abdul Latip, was conferred Singapore's
prestigious military award, the Pingat Jasa Gemilang (Tentera) or
Meritorious Service Medal (Military) by President Tony Tan Keng Yam.
Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen presented the award to Brigadier General (U) Wardi at an investiture held at the Ministry of Defence.

| 13TH JDC BRUNEI DARUSSALAM – UNITED KINGDOM | | BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday 7 May 2014
- The 13th Joint Defence Commission (JDC) Meeting between Brunei
Darussalam and United Kingdom was held today at the Officers' Mess,
Bolkiah Garrison, Ministry of Defence, Brunei Darussalam.
The JDC was
established through the Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment
of a Joint Commission on Defence Cooperation which was signed by both
countries on 31 December 2002. |

| PERLAWANAN BULU TANGKIS PERINGKAT ABDB BAGI TAHUN 2014 | | BOLKIAH GARRISON, Selasa 7 Mei 2014 – Kejohanan Bulu Tangkis Peringkat Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei telah bermula pada 24 April 2014 dan berakhir pada 7 Mei 2014 bertempat di Dewan Serbaguna Bolkiah Garrison.

tujuan kejohanan ini dilaksanakan adalah bagi mengeratkan tali Silatur
Rahim dan untuk memilih pemain yang berbakat untuk mewakili Kementerian
Pertahanan ke Kejohanan Sukan Kementerian-Kementerian yang akan
berlangsung pada bulan Mei ini.

Armed Forces consents to continue the itinerary of an official visit to
the Republic of Indonesia by consenting to attend a Conferment Ceremony
of Honorary Member of Special Forces Corps (KORPASKHAS) and visiting PT
PINDAD in Bandung.

Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) has been conferred as an honorary member of
the Republic of Indonesia's Marinir or Marines.
The Marine Corps
is one of the major Commando Units of the Navy of the National Armed

| KDB DARULEHSAN RETURNS FROM MMEX 2014, CHINA AND GOODWILL VISIT TO VIETNAM | | MUARA, Monday 5 May 2014
- KDB DARULEHSAN safely came alongside at Muara Naval Base after
participating in Multilateral Maritime Exercise 2014 in Qingdao,
People’s Republic of China, as well as a Goodwill Visit to Hai Phong,
Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The deployment led by Major (L) Willie
bin Padan together with a complement of 68 crew personnels began on 14
April 2014 until 5 May 2014.

| BRUNEI AND SINGAPORE CONDUCTS BILATERAL EXERCISE | | RIMBA, Monday 5 May 2014 - 123
personnel from 1st Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Forces(RBLF) departs
today to the Republic of Singapore to participate in a bilateral
exercise codenamed 'Maju Bersama' with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
The exercise will take place from 5 May to 17 May 2014.
Prior
to departure, a flag cession ceremony was held at the Air Movement
Centre, Rimba Air Base. |

- His Royal Highness General RBAF Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown
Prince and Senior Minister at Prime Minister’s Office, lauded strong
ties, especially in the field of defence cooperation, between Brunei
Darussalam and Indonesia.
Delivering
his sabda at the Special Forces Commando in Jakarta, where he was
conferred the title of Member of Red Beret of Kopassus by Major General
Agus Sutomo, the Commander of Kopassus, HRH expressed his happiness to
be among the Red Beret Soldiers. |
