BANDUNG, INDONESIA, Wednesday 7 May 2014 - His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, General of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces consents to continue the itinerary of an official visit to the Republic of Indonesia by consenting to attend a Conferment Ceremony of Honorary Member of Special Forces Corps (KORPASKHAS) and visiting PT PINDAD in Bandung.
Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Marshall M. Harpin Ondeh, the Commander of the Korpaskhas and Marshall TNI Iputu Dunia, the Chief of Staff of Air Force. His Royal Highness then received a Salute of Honour from the Post Guard and a Quarter Guard.
After signing a visitor's book, His Royal Highness consented to hear a welcoming address by the Commander of KORPASKHAS.
His Royal Highness in a sabda said that both countries have a very close bilateral relationships including in the area of defence through regular exchanges of joint military trainings. His Royal Highness hoped that this close relation will continue.
His Royal Highness then consented to watch a video presentation on KORPASKHAS after which His Royal Highness consented to receive a Plaque presented by the Commander KORPASKHAS. In return, His Royal Highness also presented a plaque to Marshall M. Harpin Ondeh.
His Royal Highness was then invited to the Heritage Hall of KORPASKHAS and consented to view static displays. The Special Force is a three dimensional fighting unit capable of air, sea and land combat. Each PASKHAS or Special Force personnel must possess at least the minimum qualification or requirement for commandos to be able to execute their duties professionally.
His Royal Highness then proceeded to the field to view a performance by Bravo Team.
On the special dais, His Royal Highness consented to be conferred as Honorary Member of PASKHAS.
Shortly
after receiving the Honorary Member of PASKHAS, His Royal Highness in
his Sabda expressed his appreciation to Marshall Harpin Ondeh and the
KORPASKHAS on the conferment of the Honorary Member of KORPASKHAS. This
conferment, said His Royal Highness, is an honour to him for in 2008,
His Royal Highness' father, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan
of Brunei Darussalam have also received the same honour. After a photo
session, His Royal Highness proceeded to a luncheon.
His
Royal Highness was invited to the Kusuma Bangsa Monument for a
Wreath-Laying Ceremony accompanied by Marshall M. Harpin Ondeh, the
Commander of KORPASKHAS. His Royal Highness gave a Salute of Honour
shortly before placing down the flowers. The establishment of the
monument is a national contribution by the Indonesian National Army
(TNI) to the warriors who have given their lives for their country.
Before departing the Commando Camp of KORPASKHAS, His Royal Highness
consented to receive an honour from a Quarter Guard and a Salute of
Honour from the Post Guard of the Camp.
In the afternoon, the Crown Prince consented to visit PT Pindad in Bandung. PT Pindad is a manufacturer of military products of Indonesian that has around three thousand personnel.
Upon
arrival at the House 100, PT Pindad, His Royal Highness was greeted by
Bapak Tri Hardjono, President Director of PT Pindad, Deputy President
Director as well as the firm's senior officers. His Royal Highness then
consented to a Photo Session followed by signing a Visitor Book.
His
Royal Highness then consented to hear welcoming remarks from the
President Director of PT Pindad and watched a video presentation on the
firm. His Royal Highness then consented to view military vehicles
manufactured by the company and subsequently observed the march past of
the vehicles. PT Pindad has a long history since it was first
established in 1808 as a military equipments workshop of the Dutch Navy.
From
a military workshop, it has developed and became a prime manufacturer
of military vehicles and capable of providing the needs for main
equipment of weaponry system to support the defence coordination and the
peace and stability of the Republic of Indonesia under the authority of
the Minister of State Owned Enterprises.
His
Royal Highness was also invited to try the Intai 4x4 and drove towards a
shooting range. There, the Crown Prince consented to view weaponry
exhibition and later invited to try an Assault Rifle SS2-V5.
At
the end of the visit, His Royal Highness consented to receive a
'pesambah' presented by Tri Hardjono, the President Director of PT
Pindad. In return, the Crown Prince consented to present a souvenir to
Tri Hardjono.

His Royal Highness were the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic
of Indonesia; the Deputy Minister at Prime Minister's Office; the
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the
Republic of Indonesia; and the Acting Deputy Commander Royal Brunei
Armed Forces and Commander Royal Brunei Land Force.
