​MUARA, Thursday 1 May 2014 - The Strategy Management Group (SMG) met for the second time this year on 1st May 2014 at the RBN Officers' Mess. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat and attended by the Commander of RBAF, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah and other SMG members, as well as Directors and the Head of Inspectorate Unit. The session was facilitated by the Office of Strategy Management (OSM), acting as the Secretariat for the SMG.

The meeting is a regular activity of the SMG where SMG members review the Defence Strategic Plan Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and agree on necessary action plan for performance improvement issues.

In closing the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Defence expressed his pleasure at the progress of the performance improvement initiative and as a way forward called for the process to be further socialised and embraced at all levels in the organisation. This will include the organising of an Alignment and KPI Forum in the near future.
