BOLKIAH GARRISON, Monday, 07 April 2025 – Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received a farewell call from Colonel Peter Chee, Defence Adviser Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam today. Also present were the Deputy Commander of the RBAF, the Chief of Staff RBAF and the Acting Director of Intelligence.
During the call, Colonel Peter Chee had the opportunity to introduce Colonel Steven Ng Lai Khim, the newly appointed Defence Adviser Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam. Both sides expressed appreciation towards the close Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore defence, which has been fostered through bilateral and multilateral initiatives, and further expressed their mutual desire to enhance defence cooperation through continued exchanges of official working visits, courses, and training programs.
Commander RBAF also conveyed his gratitude and expressed his sincere appreciation for Colonel Peter Chee’s exemplary service and valuable contributions during his tenure in Brunei Darussalam and extended his best wishes for his future endeavors.
The farewell call concluded with a luncheon hosted by the Commander of the RBAF at the Officer's Mess, Bolkiah Garrison.
Colonel Peter Chee assumed the appointed as Defence Adviser Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam since December 2021.
PEMERINTAH ABDB MENERIMA KUNJUNGAN PERPISAHAN DARI PENASIHAT PERTAHANAN REPUBLIK SINGAPURA KE NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
BOLKIAH GARISON, Isnin, 7 April 2025 – Yang Mulia Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) telah menerima Kunjungan Perpisahan dari Kolonel Peter Chee, Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Singapura ke Negara Brunei Darussalam. Turut hadir ialah Timbalan Pemerintah ABDB, Ketua Staf ABDB dan Pemangku Pengarah Perisikan.
Semasa kunjungan tersebut, Kolonel Peter Chee telah berkesempatan memperkenalkan Kolonel Steven Ng Lai Khim, Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Singapura yang baru dilantik ke Negara Brunei Darussalam. Kedua belah pihak telah merakamkan penghargaan di atas hubungan pertahanan yang erat di antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura, yang telah dipupuk melalui inisiatif dua hala dan pelbagai hala, dan seterusnya, menyatakan harapan bersama untuk meningkatkan lagi kerjasama pertahanan melalui pertukaran berterusan lawatan kerja rasmi, kursus dan latihan.
Pemerintah ABDB juga merakamkan ucapan terima kasih dan penghargaan yang tulus atas jasa dan sumbangan berharga Kolonel Peter Chee sepanjang tempoh perkhidmatan beliau di Negara Brunei Darussalam, dan seterusnya mengucapkan selamat maju jaya dalam usaha beliau pada masa hadapan.
Perjumpaan tersebut diakhiri dengan jamuan makan tengah hari yang dihoskan oleh Pemerintah ABDB di Mes Pegawai, Bolkiah Garison.
Kolonel Peter Chee menjawat jawatan sebagai Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Singapura ke Negara Brunei Darussalam sejak Disember 2021.
