Their Excellencies then proceed to Officer Cadet School Headquarter building and were given a short brief on the Officer Cadet School by Major Haji Mohd Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, the Commanding Officer of the Officer Cadet School. The delegation were briefed on the establishment of Officer Cadet School, RBAF since 26 August 2008, it has proudly produced 81 Service Officers in the RBAF. Currently, there are 27 Officer Cadets undergoing training in Intake 4 and 37 in Intake 5.
Their Excellencies admired the facilities such as computer labs and library were given an opportunity to witness the Officer Cadets in training during a tour around the Officer Cadet School Headquarters.
Their Excellencies had an interaction with Officer Cadets and also Instructors with various backgrounds, having served in current operational theatres around the globe. RBAF draws on their vast experience, knowledge and professionalism.
Included in his Excellency closing remarks, he emphasised the continued close ties between Brunei and New Zealand not only the military strands but economic and educational training. His Excellency also delivers some word of wisdoms to the Officer Cadets regarding the importance of becoming an Officer.
Their Excellencies then sign a parchment to commemorate their visit and ended with a group photo session.
