MINISTRY OF DEFENCE SIGNS CONTRACT AGREEMENT WITH AIRBUS HELICOPTERS S.A.S.FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE AIRBUS H145M HELICOPTERS



BOLKIAH GARRISON, Tuesday, 30 April 2024 – The Ministry of Defence, as a representative of the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, signed a contract agreement with Airbus Helicopters S.A.S. for the acquisition of six new Airbus H145M helicopters today.  The signing ceremony took place at the Officers’ Mess, Bolkiah Garrison.


Signing on behalf of the Ministry of Defence was Yang Mulia Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, while representing Airbus Helicopters S.A.S. was Mr. Fabrice Rochereau, Vice President and Head of Sales, Strategy, and Marketing, Asia-Pacific.


The contract agreement signing ceremony was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II.  The ceremony was also attended by Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Service Commanders, Acting Joint Force Commander, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Directors and Senior Officers from the Ministry of Defence.


The Airbus H145M helicopter is a multi-role aircraft currently operated by more than 34 countries. All six helicopters will be introduced into service gradually starting from the year 2026 to replace the Bolkow BO105 helicopters, which have been retired from service.  These helicopters will significantly enhance the RBAF’s operational capabilities for missions such as Close Air Support (CAS), Aerial Observation, and various other operations.

KEMENTERIAN PERTAHANAN MENANDATANGANI KONTRAK PERJANJIAN BERSAMA AIRBUS HELICOPTERS S.A.S BAGI PEROLEHAN HELIKOPTER AIRBUS H145M.


BOLKIAH GARISON, Selasa, 30 April 2024 – Kementerian Pertahanan, bagi pihak Kerajaan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam, telah menandatangani kontrak perjanjian bersama dengan Airbus Helicopters S.A.S bagi perolehan enam buah helikopter Airbus H145M yang baharu hari ini.  Upacara penandatanganan tersebut berlangsung di Mes Pegawai, Bolkiah Garison.


Menandatangani bagi pihak Kementerian Pertahanan ialah Yang Mulia Brigadier Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan manakala di pihak Airbus Helicopters S.A.S ialah Mr. Fabrice Rochereau, Vice President and Head of Sales, Strategy and Marketing, Asia-Pacific, Airbus Helicopters S.A.S.


Upacara penandatanganan kontrak perjanjian tersebut disaksikan oleh Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Pertahanan II.  Upacara tersebut turut dihadiri oleh Yang Mulia Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), Pemerintah-Pemerintah Angkatan Tentera, Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan, Pengarah-pengarah dan Pegawai-pegawai Kanan dari Kementerian Pertahanan.


Helikopter Airbus H145M adalah helikopter pelbagai misi yang kini beroperasi di lebih dari 34 buah negara.  Sebanyak enam buah helikopter yang akan diperolehi secara berperingkat bermula tahun 2026 sebagai menggantikan helikopter Bolkow BO105 yang telah ditamatkan perkhidmatan.  Helikopter tersebut akan meningkatkan keupayaan operasi ABDB bagi misi-misi diantaranya ialah Bantuan Udara Jarak Dekat (Close Air Support), Pemantauan Udara dan juga pelbagai operasi yang lain.
