CAMDEN, AUSTRALIA, Friday, 26 July 2024 – Six Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) Student pilots undergoing Basic and Intermediate Fixed Wing Pilot Training Course-60 have completed their first solo flight at Air Combat Australia between 18 July 2024 and 26 July 2024.
RBAirF would like to congratulate the (names of the student pilot) on their achievements and encourage them to maintain their dedication as they progress through the challenging training phases.
A student pilot's First Solo flight is a big milestone in their journey of becoming a pilot. As tradition, to celebrate their success, a hose down was done by the flight instructors.
The student pilots had approximately 17 flying hours comprising Basic Flying Skills, Effects of Control, Circuit Procedures and Emergency Procedures before they were cleared for their first solo. The first solo flight becomes a benchmark for them to understand the basics of flying. Despite that, the student pilots will continue to strive, work hard and maintain their focus in finishing the course as they will be taught more technical flying skills such as air-navigation, night flying and instrument flying.
The Basic and Intermediate Fixed Wing Pilot Training Course commenced on 16 April 2024 and is expected to end in February 2025. RBAirF would like to congratulate the student pilots of Course 60 on their achievements and encourage them to maintain their dedication as they progress through the challenging training phases.
PELATIH JURUTERBANG TUDB DARI KURSUS ASAS DAN PERTENGAHAN JURUTERBANG SIRI-60 MELAKUKAN PENERBANGAN SOLO PERTAMA
CAMDEN, AUSTRALIA, Jumaat, 26 Julai 2024 – Seramai 06 orang pelatih juruterbang Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) yang menjalani Kursus Asas dan Pertengahan Juruterbang Siri-60 telah selesai menjalani penerbangan solo yang pertama di Air Combat Australia (ACA) pada 18 Julai 2024 hingga 26 Julai 2024. Ini menjadi detik yang bersejarah di dalam perjalanan mereka untuk menjadi seorang juruterbang. Sebagai tradisi, mereka telah pun menerima siraman air daripada jurulatih-jurulatih sebagai ucapan tahniah.
Pelatih juruterbang mempunyai kira-kira 17 jam penerbangan yang merangkumi pelajaran mengenai Kemahiran Asas Penerbangan, Prosedur
Circuit dan beberapa Prosedur Kecemasan sebelum mereka dihantar untuk menjalani penerbangan solo. Ianya menjadi penanda aras bagi memahami asas penerbangan. Walaubagaimanapun, pelatih juruterbang akan sentiasa terus bekerja keras dan mengekalkan fokus mereka untuk menamatkan kursus ini dimana mereka akan diajar kemahiran penerbangan yang lebih teknikal seperti navigasi udara, penerbangan
instrument dan penerbangan malam.
Kursus Asas dan Pertengahan Juruterbang bermula pada 16 April 2024 dan dijangka akan berakhir pada Februari 2025. TUDB ingin merakamkan ucapan tahniah kepada pelatih juruterbang Siri-60 atas pencapaian mereka dan menggesa mereka untuk terus berusaha dalam fasa latihan yang mencabar seterusnya.
