PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 28 June 2013 - A total of 111 male recruits of the 148th intake have concluded their basic military training at the Parade Square of the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF) in Penanjong Garison. The male recruits underwent a 25 weeks long basic military training.
The Guest of Honour receiving the General Salute for the Passing Out Parade ceremony was Dayang Hajah Suriyah binti Haji Umar, Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) Ministry of Defence.
Also in attendance at the ceremony was Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Abidin, Deputy Commander of RBAF, Service Commanders, Commandants, Senior Officers, Officers and other ranks of RBAF as well as parents, family members and relatives of the recruits.
During the ceremony, Dayang Hajah Suriyah binti Haji Umar inspected the parade, delivered a speech and presented awards to excellent instructor and recruits. Best Platoon Sergeant is awarded to 14133 Sgt Masdi bin Haji Mat Nor, Best Male Instructor awarded to 14807 Cpl Sahlinnordody bin Sidup, 50364 Rec Raiezan bin Radinmas won the Best Overall Recruit, 50325 Rec Abdul Wafiy bin Haji Sijun with Best in M16A2 Rifle, 50267 Rec Mohd Ibrahim bin Haji Muslim with Best in Heavy Barrel Automatic Rifle (HBAR), 50348 Rec Mohd Fakhrulullah bin Haji Awang Faisal with Best in Physical Training and 50303 Rec Nurhelmi bin Ramli with Best Academic Knowledge.
