BOLKIAH GARISON, Saturday 14 Mei 2016 - The 55th anniversary celebration of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) this year will take place at the Defence Academy RBAF in Tanah Jambu on 31 May 2016.
To highlight the spirit of the celebrations, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces received posters published by the Information Department in cooperation with the Public Relations Unit of the Ministry of Defence.
A ceremony to hand over the anniversary posters was held at the Wira Seni Concert Hall, RBAF Band building at Bolkiah Garrison.
The ceremony commenced with the recital of Surah Al-Faatihah followed by a welcoming speech by the Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), Colonel Haji Muhd Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, as Chairman of the RBAF 55th anniversary celebration committee.
Colonel Haji Muhd Haszaimi in his speech said that the Royal Brunei Armed Forces 55th Anniversary poster and logo portrays the concept image of visionary generation and explains that the Royal Brunei Armed Forces have high hopes for leaders and future military personnel of this generation, to be the support of the defence institution, in order uphold the momentum of the country’s aspiration. While equipped with modern technologies, the main thrust of the country’s defence is in fact in its quality, the commitment and dedication of the current generation to implement their role and trust, in supporting the development of the country.
Touching on the theme of the celebration that is 'RBAF Generation with Vision', the concept of this year's celebration is also heavily geared towards the disclosure of knowledge, particularly the role of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, as the main element of defence diplomacy at the international level and also the contribution of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces to the community in general. The Celebration Executive Committee has also highlighted a new additional programme, aside from the typically conducted annual programmes.
The new programmes are special religious lectures to be conducted in all the four districts. These special lectures will convey knowledge about the importance of the military institution and its relationship with a sovereign Muslim country and the military's role as its stronghold.
The RBAF 55th anniversary posters were handed over by Awang Mawardi bin Haji Mohammad, Acting Director of the Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office to the Chairman of the RBAF 55th anniversary celebration committee whom later presented the posters to the Public Relations Officers and representatives from all government ministries, departments and units under the RBAF as well as Brunei Ex-Soldiers Association (PBPNBD) and the local media agencies.
About 400 posters are printed for the anniversary with the purpose of creating awareness among the general public about the celebration.
POSTER SAMBUTAN HUT ABDB KE 55 DIAGIHKAN
BOLKIAH GARISON, Sabtu 14 Mei 2016 - Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) akan menyambut Hari Ulang Tahunnya yang ke-55 pada tahun ini di Akademi Pertahanan ABDB di Perkhemahan Tanah Jambu pada 31 Mei 2016.
Bagi memeriahkan sambutan ini, pihak Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei telah menerima poster yang diterbitkan oleh Jabatan Penerangan, Jabatan Perdana Menteri melalui kerjasama Unit Perhubungan Awam, Kementerian Pertahanan.
Satu Majlis Penyerahan poster telah diadakan pada hari ini di Dewan Konsert Wira Seni, Bangunan Pencaragam ABDB, Bolkiah Garison.
Majlis bermula dengan bacaan Surah Al-Faatihah diikuti dengan ucapan alu-aluan dari Timbalan Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei, Kolonel Haji Muhd Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan selaku Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Sambutan HUT ABDB Ke-55.
Kolonel Haji Muhd Haszaimi semasa berucap di majlis ini berkata poster dan logo Hari Ulang Tahun Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei Ke-55 mengambarkan imej gagasan generasi berwawasan serta menjelaskan bahawa ABDB menaruh harapan kepada pemimpin-pemimpin serta perajurit-perajurit generasi pada masa ini, untuk menjadi tulang belakang institusi pertahanan, demi mendukung momentum aspirasi negara.
Disamping dilengkapi dengan kelengkapan serta peralatan serba moden, teras utama selaku benteng pertahanan negara pada hakikatnya adalah kualiti, komitmen dan kesungguhan generasi sekarang dalam melaksanakan peranan serta amanah, dalam sama-sama mendukung pembangunan negara.
Menyentuh pada tema sambutan iaitu ‘ABDB Generasi Berwawasan’, konsep sambutan pada tahun ini juga banyak menjurus kearah pendedahan pengetahuan khususnya peranan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei, selaku elemen utama diplomasi pertahanan diperingkat antarabangsa dan juga sumbangan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei terhadap masyarakat amnya. Jawatankuasa Tertinggi sambutan tambahnya juga telah mengetengahkan satu pembaharuan, disamping aturcara-aturcara yang lazimnya diungkayahkan.
Pembaharuan tersebut adalah Majlis Ceramah Khas Keugamaan yang akan dikendalikan di keempat-empat buah Daerah. Ceramah khas ini akan menyalurkan sudut pengetahuan tentang kepentingan institusi ketenteraan dan hubungkaitnya dengan sebuah Negara Islam yang berdaulat serta peranan tentera selaku benteng pertahanannya.
Poster sempena sambutan HUT ABDB itu diserahkan oleh Awang Mawardi bin Haji Mohammad, Pemangku Pengarah Penerangan kepada Pengerusi Sambutan Hari Ulang Tahun ABDB Ke-55 yang kemudian menyerahkannya kepada kepada Pegawai-Pegawai Perhubungan Awam serta wakil-wakil dari Kementerian-Kementerian, Jabatan-Jabatan Kerajaan dan wakil dari unit-unit ABDB serta Persatuan Bekas Perajurit Negara Brunei Darussalam (PBKNBD).
Sebanyak 400 keping poster dicetak bagi sambutan tahun ini yang bertujuan untuk memberi makluman kepada orang ramai mengenai sambutan tersebut.
