SERAMBANGUN, TUTONG, Friday 04 June 2021 – The Second Battalion of Royal Gurkha Rifles (2RGR) organised the British Force Brunei Operational Shooting Competition (BFB OSC) 2021 at Serambangun Range in Tutong participated by the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) Shooting Team took place from 1- 4 June 2021.
Present as the guest of honour for the ceremony was Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). Also present were Brigadier General Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of RBLF and senior officers.
The RBAF Commander, in his speech, praised the excellent relations between Brunei Darussalam and the United Kingdom and congratulated teams from the Royal Gurkha Rifles and RBLF who took part in the BFB OSC.
A total of nine shooting teams from 2RGR and two teams from RBLF, ‘RBLF A' and ‘RBLF B,' participated in various matches that tested the shooters' skills for Pistol and Rifle shooting competition.
The main objective of this annual competition between the two forces is to strengthen the relationship between the RGR and RBLF whilst at the same time, it is also aimed to further enhance teamwork and cooperation, improve individual weapon handling and shooting skills and prepare the participants for their next competition. The first RBLF's participation in BFB OSC was in 2019.

BRITISH FORCE BRUNEI SKILLS AT ARMS MEET 2021
SERAMBANGUN, TUTONG, Jumaat, 04 Jun 2021 – Batalion Kedua Royal Gurkha Rifles (2RGR) telah mengadakan Perlawanan Menembak Operasi British Force Brunei (BFB OSC) di Padang Tembak Serambangun, Tutong dari 1 - 4 Jun 2021yang telah disertai oleh Pasukan Menembak Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB).
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat ialah Mejar Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB). Turut hadir ialah Brigadier Jeneral Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah TDDB serta pegawai-pegawai kanan.
Dalam ucapan Pemerintah ABDB, beliau memuji hubungan baik di antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan United Kingdom dan mengucapkan tahniah kepada pasukan dari Royal Gurkha Rifles dan TDDB yang turut serta dalam
BFB OSC.
Sebanyak sembilan pasukan menembak dari
2RGR dan dua pasukan dari TDDB, ‘RBLF A’ dan ‘RBLF B,’ telah mengambil bahagian dalam pelbagai perlawanan yang menguji kemahiran di pertandingan menembak Pistol dan Rifle.
Matlamat utama perlawanan tahunan ini adalah untuk mengeratkan hubungan di antara RGR dan TDDB, manakala pada masa yang sama, ia juga bertujuan untuk meningkatkan lagi kerjasama sepasukan, memahirkan pengendalian senjata dan kemahiran menembak serta sebagai persiapan awal peserta-peserta bagi perlawanan seterusnya nanti. Penyertaan pertama TDDB dalam BFB OSC adalah pada tahun 2019.
