During the call, Yang Berhormat Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II congratulated Commodore Javed Iqbal Khan Niazi on his appointment as the new Defence Adviser accredited to Brunei Darussalam. Both sides discussed the bilateral defence relations, which continue to be promoted through the Joint Defence Working Committee, exchanges of visits, training and courses.
Yang Berhormat Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II expressed hope to further expanding the bilateral defence relationship from both sides in the field of defence and military cooperation.
Commodore Javed Iqbal Khan Niazi has been accredited as the new non-resident Defence Adviser of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam on 7 October 2024, and is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Penasihat Pertahanan Tidak Menetap Republik Islam Pakistan yang diakreditasi ke Negara Brunei Darussalam, hari ini.
Dalam kunjungan tersebut,
Yang Berhormat Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Pertahanan II menyampaikan ucapan tahniah kepada
Commodore Javed Iqbal Khan Niazi di atas pelantikan beliau sebagai Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Islam Pakistan yang diakreditasi ke Negara Brunei Darussalam. Kedua belah pihak seterusnya membincangkan hubungan pertahanan dua hala yang terus dipertingkatkan melalui Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Kerja Pertahanan Bersama, pertukaran lawatan, latihan dan kursus.
Yang Berhormat Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Pertahanan II juga menzahirkan harapan untuk mengukuhkan keakraban hubungan pertahanan antara kedua-dua buah negara dalam kerjasama pertahanan dan tentera.
Commodore Javed Iqbal Khan Niazi telah dilantik sebagai Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Islam Pakistan yang baharu ke Negara Brunei Darussalam pada 7 Oktober 2024, dan berpangkalan di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
