MINISTRY OF DEFENCE HOLDS THE SECOND SESSION OF MEDIA DAY 2025



BRUNEI-MUARA DISTRICT, 26-28 August 2025 – The Public Relations Unit, Ministry of Defence, organized  the second session of Media Day 2025, which was held across the main camp and bases of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, namely Berakas Garrison, Muara Naval Base and Rimba Air Force Base, from 26 August to 28 August 2025. The first session was successfully organized on 29 April 2025.

The session was attended by representatives from local media partners including  Radio Television Brunei, the Information Department and Pelita Brunei, along with Public Relations Liaisons from various units under the Ministry of Defence.


Throughout the session, media representatives were given the opportunity to attend briefings, guided tours and demonstrations at each unit, providing first-hand exposure to the roles, responsibilities, and capabilities of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) in safeguarding the security and prosperity of Brunei Darussalam.


With the theme “Bridging Communication for National Defence,” Media Day 2025 aims to strengthen cooperation, build trust, and expand networks between the Ministry of Defence and the media. The initiative also seeks to enhance public awareness and resilience by providing media partners with deeper understanding of the roles and functions of the ministry, while ensuring that information shared with the public is accurate, transparent, and credible amid today’s evolving complexity of the information landscape.


The first session was focused on executives and managerial-level representatives. Meanwhile, this second session was directed towards working-level representatives who collaborate directly in media coverage with the Ministry of Defence, thereby allowing for more practical engagement and closer networking opportunities with media partners.


Overall, this second session succesfully achieved its objectives of enabling deeper engagement, opening avenues for capacity-building and implementing more holistic collaborative initiatives. It also underscored the Ministry of Defence’s commitments to fostering effective communication, enhancing mutual understanding, and expanding opportunities for strategic cooperation and partnership with the media. 















KEMENTERIAN PERTAHANAN MENGANJURKAN HARI MEDIA SESI KE-2 2025


DAERAH BRUNEI-MUARA, 26-28 Ogos 2025 – Unit Perhubungan Awam, Kementerian Pertahanan telah menganjurkankan Hari Media sesi ke-2 2025 yang berlangsung di perkhemahan dan pangkalan tentera unit-unit utama Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei, iaitu di Berakas Garison, Pangkalan Muara dan Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba, bermula 26 Ogos hingga 28 Ogos 2025. Sesi pertama telah berjaya dianjurkan pada 29 April 2025. 


Sesi berkenaan turut dihadiri oleh wakil rakan-rakan media tempatan termasuk Radio Televisyen Brunei, Jabatan Penerangan dan Pelita Brunei serta para Pegawai Perhubungan Awam dari unit-unit di bawah Kementerian Pertahanan.


Sepanjang sesi, para peserta media berpeluang mengikuti taklimat, lawatan berpandu dan demonstrasi di setiap unit yang memberikan pendedahan secara langsung mengenai peranan, tanggungjawab dan keupayaan Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB), Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB) dan Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) dalam menjaga keselamatan dan kemakmuran Negara Brunei Darussalam.


Dengan tema “Bridging Communication for National Defence”, Hari Media 2025 bertujuan memperkukuhkan kerjasama, membina kepercayaan serta memperluaskan rangkaian di antara Kementerian Pertahanan dan pihak media. Inisiatif ini juga dihasratkan dapat meningkatkan kesedaran dan ketahanan masyarakat dengan memberikan rakan-rakan media kefahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai peranan dan fungsi Kementerian Pertanana, di samping memastikan penyampaian maklumat yang dikongsikan kepada orang ramai adalah tepat, telus dan berwibawa selaras dengan dengan landskap maklumat semasa yang kian mencabar.


Jemputan pada sesi pertama yang lalu tertumpu kepada wakil di peringkat eksekutif dan pengurusan. Manakala bagi sesi kedua ini pula, tumpuan diberikan kepada wakil di peringkat kerja yang berhubung secara langsung dengan keperluan liputan di Kementerian Pertahanan. Pendekatan ini membolehkan penglibatan yang lebih praktikal dan peluang menjalin rangkaian yang lebih erat bersama pihak media.  


Secara keseluruhannya, sesi kedua ini telah berjaya mencapai objektif untuk menyediakan penglibatan yang lebih mendalam, membuka ruang pembangunan kapasiti, serta perlaksanaan inisiatif kerjasama yang lebih menyeluruh. Ia turut menzahirkan komitmen Kementerian Pertahanan dalam memupuk komunikasi yang berkesan, meningkatkan persefahaman bersama serta memperluaskan peluang kerjasama dan perkongsian strategik dengan pihak media.
