- The inaugural Junior Officers' Exchange Program (JOEP) between the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) and the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) was held from 18 to 21 November 2024, hosted by the RMAF in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The RBAirF delegation, comprising 10 officers, was led by Lieutenant Colonel (U) Muhd Zabri bin Abdul Rahman, the Wing Commander of No. 8 Wing, RBAirF.
The RBAirF delegation visited the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) Mess, where they received a briefing on the RMAF's history, organisation, and future development. The delegation also toured Subang Air Base, which featured a visit to the Institute of Aviation Medicine and No 8 Squadron, where they had an in-depth look at the impressive A400M aircraft.
The RBAirF delegation also had the opportunity to visit the Leadership Development and Management Institute (LDMI) at Sendayan Air Base and engaged in discussions with LDMI officers and staff, exchanging views on training strategies and leadership development.
The exchange program concluded with a cultural tour around Kuala Lumpur before the delegation departed for Brunei Darussalam.
The JOEP aims to foster deeper mutual understanding, strengthen bilateral collaboration, and encourage the sharing of best practices between the two air forces.
DELEGASI TUDB MENGAKHIRI 4-HARI
JUNIOR OFFICERS EXCHANGE PROGRAMME DI MALAYSIA
MALAYSIA, Khamis, 21 November 2024 - Program Pertukaran Pegawai (Junior Officers' Exchange Program - JOEP) yang pertama antara Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) dan Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) telah diadakan dari 18 hingga 21 November 2024, yang dihoskan oleh TUDM di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Delegasi TUDB yang terdiri daripada 10 pegawai diketuai oleh Leftenan Kolonel (U) Muhd Zabri bin Abdul Rahman, Pegawai Pemerintah Cawangan No. 8, TUDB.
Rombongan TUDB mengendalikan lawatan ke Mes Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM), di mana delegasi menerima taklimat mengenai sejarah, organisasi, dan perancangan masa depan TUDM. Delegasi TUDB juga berpeluang melawat Pangkalan Udara Subang, termasuk lawatan ke Institut Perubatan Penerbangan dan Skuadron No. 8, di mana delegasi melihat dengan lebih dekat pesawat A400M.
Selain itu, delegasi turut mengunjungi Institut Kepimpinan dan Pengurusan (INSKEP) di Pangkalan Udara Sendayan, di mana delegasi TUDB menyertai sesi perbincangan dengan pegawai dan kakitangan INSKEP serta bertukar pandangan mengenai strategi peningkatan latihan dan kepimpinan.
Program pertukaran ini seterusnya diakhiri dengan lawatan budaya di sekitar Kuala Lumpur sebelum berangkat balik ke Negara Brunei Darussalam.
JOEP bertujuan untuk memupuk pemahaman bersama, memperkukuhkan kerjasama dua hala, dan menggalakkan perkongsian amalan terbaik antara kedua-dua tentera udara.
