SUBANG AIRBASE, MALAYSIA, Saturday, 16 November 2024 - The third returning flight of the Malaysian Battalion Contingent (MALBATT) 850-11 for the peacekeeping mission of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) comprising of 216 members of the MALBATT 850-11 including nine members of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) has safely arrived at Subang Airbase, Malaysia this afternoon.
Present to welcome their return was Yang Berbahagia Major General Dato' Tong Veng Leong RMAF, Assistant Chief of Staff J3 of the Joint Forces Headquarters Malaysian Armed Forces (ACOS J3 JFHQ MAF). Also present were Lieutenant Colonel Rudie Asmawi bin Haji Abidin, Brunei Darussalam's Defence Adviser to Malaysia, Senior Officers from the MAF and family members of the MALBATT 850-11 contingent.
Similar to the previous returning flights, a parade ceremony was held as soon as they landed and commenced with a General Salute from the contingent, followed by the MAF song and speech from ACOS J3 JFHQ MAF. The chanting of 'Gempur Wira' concluded the parade and was followed by the recitation of the Doa.
The last returning flight of MALBATT 850-11 contingent will be scheduled to depart from Lebanon to Malaysia on Tuesday, 19 November 2024.

PENERBANGAN KETIGA BAGI KEPULANGAN KONTINJEN MALAYSIAN BATTALION (MALBATT) 850-11 BAGI MISI PENGAMAN PASUKAN INTERIM PERTUBUHAN BANGSA-BANGSA BERSATU DI LUBNAN (UNIFIL) SELAMAT SAMPAI DI PANGKALAN UDARA SUBANG, MALAYSIA
PANGKALAN UDARA SUBANG, MALAYSIA, Sabtu, 16 November 2024 – Penerbangan ketiga bagi kepulangan Kontinjen Malaysian Battalion (MALBATT) 850-11 bagi misi pengaman Pasukan Interim Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu di Lubnan (UNIFIL) yang terdiri daripada 216 anggota MALBATT 850-11 termasuk sembilan anggota Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) telahpun selamat sampai di Pangkalan Udara Subang, Malaysia petang ini.
Hadir bagi mengalu-alukan kepulangan mereka ialah Yang Berbahagia Mejar Jeneral Dato' Tong Veng Leong TUDM, Asisten Ketua Staf J3 Markas Angkatan Bersama Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (AKS J3 MAB ATM). Turut hadir adalah Yang Mulia Leftenan Kolonel Rudie Asmawi bin Haji Abidin, Penasihat Pertahanan Negara Brunei Darussalam ke Malaysia, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan ATM serta ahli-ahli keluarga kontinjen MALBATT 850-11.
Seperti penerbangan kepulangan sebelumnya, upacara perbarisan berlangsung sejurus anggota-anggota keluar dari pesawat yang dimulai dengan tabik hormat dari kontinjen dan diikuti dengan lagu ATM serta ucapan dari AKS J3 MAB ATM. Laungan 'Gempur Wira' mengakhiri perbarisan dan disusuli dengan bacaan Doa.
Penerbangan terakhir MALBATT 850-11 dijadualkan berlepas dari Lubnan ke Malaysia pada hari Selasa, 19 November 2024.
