KUALA BELAIT, 03 September 2021, Friday – In continuing the battle against COVID-19, the COVID-19 Holding Area Belait 6th Form (CHABEL6) is currently in its final phase of preparation as part of a collaborative effort between Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Ministry of Health, Public Works Department and other government agencies, including volunteers.
CHABEL6, located at the Belait Sixth Form Centre, Mumong is preparing to accommodate around 300 patients and hopes to better serve the community in combating the surge of positive cases in Brunei Darussalam.
Medical staff from Suri Seri Begawan Hospital are working hand in hand with personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) in training a functional workforce through discussions of best practices, training of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as well as the use of medical equipment and monitoring patients’ vital signs. Representatives from MOH and Public Works Department have also visited CHABEL6 to ensure it is being set up in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines issued by the MOH.
CHABEL6 is the fourth facility built for the community, with RBAF playing a key role in its operation. CHABEL6 is anticipated to be operational soon.

KUALA BELAIT, 03 September 2021, Jumaat – Dalam usaha yang berterusan dalam menangani COVID-19 di negara ini, Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), Kementerian Kesihatan (MOH), Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR), dan agensi-agensi kerajaan yang lain termasuk ahli sukarelawan belia sedang bekerjasama antara satu sama lain bagi membuat persiapan akhir di Tingkatan Enam Belait COVID-19
Holding Area (CHABEL6).
CHABEL6 yang terletak di Pusat Tingkatan Enam Belait, Mumong boleh menampung sekitar 300 pesakit dengan harapan untuk membantu masyarakat Brunei Darussalam dalam menangani penularan COVID-19 ini.
Pihak kakitangan kesihatan dari Hospital Suri Seri Begawan dan ABDB khususnya anggota-anggota Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB) berganding bahu dalam melatih tenaga kerja yang boleh berfungsi melalui perbincangan mengenai amalan-amalan terbaik, latihan Peralatan Perlindungan Diri (PPE) serta penggunaan peralatan perubatan dan memantau petanda penting pesakit. Wakil dari Kementerian Kesihatan dan JKR juga telah membuat tinjauan ke CHABEL6 untuk memastikan persiapan dijalankan dengan mematuhi Prosedur Operasi
Standard (SOP) dan garispandu yang dikeluarkan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan.
CHABEL6 adalah penubuhan kemudahan yang keempat untuk masyarakat dimana pihak ABDB memainkan peranan yang penting di atas pelaksanaannya. CHABEL6 dijangka beroperasi dalam masa terdekat.
