RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Tuesday, 20 August 2024 - The Foundation Laying Ceremony for the Proposed New Building for the Unmanned Aerial System Squadron, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) was held at the project site at Rimba Air Force Base this afternoon.
The ceremony was officiated by the guest of honour, Yang Mulia Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif Bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Commander of the RBAirF. Also in attendance were the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, the Acting Director of Development and Work Services and the Deputy Commander of the RBAirF, as well as officers and staff from the Directorate of Development and Work Services, Ministry of Defence.
The foundation laying ceremony commenced with the recital of
Doa Selamat by 1156 Captain Muhammad Wafiy bin Haji Mahdini from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT), followed by a briefing regarding the new project.
The new building for the Unmanned Aerial System Squadron will have a total floor area of 2272 m², including a lobby, offices, filing room, conference room, simulator rooms, seminar room, storerooms, and working space. The building is situated near the existing RBAirF Fire Station at Rimba Air Force Base.
The construction of the new building for the Unmanned Aerial System Squadron commenced on 17 January 2024. This project is one of the projects under the 12th National Development Plan and is expected to be completed in March 2025. The main contractor for this project is AL-C Sdn Bhd.

PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Selasa, 20 Ogos 2024 – Majlis Perletakan Asas bagi Cadangan Pembinaan Bangunan Baharu bagi Skuadron
Unmanned Aerial System, Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah diadakan di tapak projek di Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba petang tadi.
Majlis dirasmikan oleh tetamu kehormat, Yang Mulia Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif Bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Pemerintah TUDB. Turut hadir adalah Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap, Kementerian Pertahanan, Pemangku Pengarah Pembangunan dan Perkhidmatan Kerja dan Timbalan Pemerintah TUDB serta pegawai dan kakitangan dari Jabatanarah Pembangunan dan Perkhidmatan Kerja, Kementerian Pertahanan.
Majlis perletakan batu asas tersebut dimulakan dengan bacaan Doa Selamat oleh 1156 Kapten Muhammad Nasyrul Wafiy bin Haji Mahdini dari Jabatanarah Agama Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (JAMA’AT), serta taklimat mengenai projek baharu ini.
Bangunan Baru bagi Skuadron
Unmanned Aerial System akan mempunyai jumlah ruang lantai sebanyak 2272 m2 yang mengandungi lobi, ruang pejabat, bilik filing, bilik mesyuarat, bilik simulator, bilik seminar, stor dan ruang kerja. Bangunan tersebut terletak berdekatan dengan Bangunan Balai Bomba Pangkalan Tentera Udara di Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba.
Kerja-kerja pembinaan Bangunan Baru bagi Skuadron
Unmanned Aerial System ini telah dimulakan pada 17 Januari 2024. Projek ini merupakan salah satu projek di bawah Rancangan Kemajuan Negara ke-12 dan dijangka akan siap pada bulan Mac 2025. Kontraktor bagi projek ini adalah AL-C Sdn Bhd.
