BALI, Monday, 5 June 2023 – The 13th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Military Operations Meeting (AMOM) 2023 was held at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort, Bali, Republic of Indonesia on 5 June 2023 and was chaired by Major General Muhammad Nur Rahmad, Assistant for Operations to The Defence Force of Indonesia (TNI) Commander-In-Chief.
Representing the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) was Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Joint Force Commander RBAF.
With the theme ‘Peace, Prosperity and Security’, the 13th AMOM discussed and exchanged views on regional security challenges and ways to strengthen practical cooperation to maintain security, peace and prosperity in the ASEAN region. All heads of delegation also presented their two-year activity work plans for 2023-2025, which will be submitted during the 20th ASEAN Chiefs of Defence Forces Meeting (20th ACDFM).
The meeting concluded with the official handover of the AMOM Chairmanship to the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
MESYUARAT OPERASI KETENTERAAN ASEAN KE-13 BAGI TAHUN 2023
BALI, Selasa, 5 Jun 2023 – Mesyuarat Operasi Ketenteraan Pertubuhan Negara-negara Asia Tenggara (ASEAN) ke-13 (AMOM ke-13) telah diadakan di Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort, Bali, Republik Indonesia pada 5 Jun 2022 dan telah dipengerusikan oleh Mayor Jenderal Muhammad Nur Rahmad, Asisten Operasi (Asops) Panglima Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI).
Mewakili Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) adalah Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersama, ABDB.
Bertemakan ‘Peace, Prosperity and Security’, AMOM ke-13 telah membincangkan dan bertukar pandangan mengenai isu-isu keselamatan serantau dan cara-cara menjaga keselamatan bagi mengekalkan keamanan dan kemakmuran di rantau ASEAN. Para ketua delegasi turut membentangkan rancangan kerja aktiviti dua tahun tentera ASEAN bagi tahun 2023-2025 yang akan dikemukakan semasa Mesyuarat Ketua Angkatan Pertahanan ASEAN ke-20 (ACDFM ke-20).
Mesyuarat diakhiri dengan penyerahan rasmi Pengerusi AMOM kepada Republik Demokratik Rakyat Lao.
